She Must Be Desperate

Description

A couple of weeks before I graduated from high school, I drew this and colored. And I can't believe I had forgotten it until now! It was just sitting in my files all summer while I was busy doing other fanart! ^^;

It's Skoodge and Lisa, folks! This was one of my favorite scenes from my Invader Zim cartoon crossover story Earthworm Zim from Chapter 6, part 2 [link]

It's the scene where Lisa and Skoodge get to know each other. And even though Skoodge is an alien...in Lisa's opinion, he seems more human than half the people of Spirngfield.

Note that in my story, Skoodge gets adopted by Sideshow Mel and his family, and he goes to Waverly Hills school, where he's really popular, especially with the ladies, a true actor. :D Here was the first time I drew Skoodge in his adorable human disguise [link]

Also, that little brown clump with red eyes beside Skoodge, that's his Gir unit disguised as his pet ferret, Chipz. :)

Lisa looked over her book and watched as Skoodge studied his school books as well, while petting Chipz every now and then.

They, Bart, Rocky, Zim, Dib, and Veronica were hanging out at the Fanlair, home to no other than Fanboy and Chum Chum. Veronica and Rocky were doing each other's hair, Fanboy was trying to teach Zim how to thumb wrestle-Zim losing, Gir was digging through the fridge for ice cream, and Chum Chum was showing Bart and Dib how to play using just action figure boxes.

In no time at all had Lisa and her siblings found out about Skoodge being an alien like Zim, and it was obvious the adults would inform the others as well. They were quick to adjust to his true presence, having already seen more unusual things in their dysfunctional lives. So she and her brother were here in Fanboy and Chum Chum's town right now, just enjoying time with their friends.

She especially was enjoying her time with Skoodge. They had just gotten to know each other today, and it felt as if they had been close friends forever.

Skoodge was definitely not like other boys, besides being an alien. He was polite, organized, and a great listener. And he seemed quite interested in the things Lisa liked: poetry, movies, and even vegetables. Of course, like Zim, meat hurt Skoodge as well.

Skoodge looked up from his book and caught her gaze. Lisa smiled nervously, trying not to giggle.

"So, uh, Lisa..." Skoodge began. "Bart's told me you two used to attend Waverly Hills..."

Lisa gulped, eyes widening at the horrid experience she had there. "Well, if you must know, Springfield Elementary is the lowest school in the country, and my mom thought we should take a better school in Waverly Hills..." She sighed. "While my brother was getting popular, I was an even bigger outcast than in my other school..."

Skoodge raised a human eyebrow. "Why? You're smart and really cool to hang out with."

Lisa tried not to blush. "Well, you know how rich girls are...with their obscure point-of-views and degrading of the intellectual..."

"Oh, just like Krusty..." Skoodge muttered. "I'm really glad my dad has an acting career. If Krusty ever fired him if he felt like it, my dad would still be better than him."

"Well, Sideshow Mel is a great actor," Lisa said. "You're very lucky to have him as your adopted dad."

"What about your dad?" Skoodge asked. "He exciting?"

"Well, not really as exciting when he's drunk and running through the streets singing 'Boom Boom Pow'," Lisa laughed.

"Come to think of it..." Skoodge pondered. "I think I saw a video like that on YouTube. Called 'Fat, Drunk Guy and Black-Eyed Peas Wannabe'."

"That's him," Lisa sighed, shaking her head.

"At least it got a million views in one hour," Skoodge assured her.

"Well, it can't humiliate the Simpsons even more," Lisa chuckled.

"I'm sure people just think you have a really funny family," Skoodge said. He smiled. "And I think you're a really funny girl."

Lisa giggled uncontrollably, giving him a sweet smile.

Bart watched from the corner of his eyes as his sister and Skoodge shared a laugh.

"I knew it," he sighed.

"Knew what?" Chum Chum asked.

"My sister's so desperate for male attention she'll even go for some alien kid," he sighed.

"What makes you think your sister has interest in Skoodge?" Dib asked.

"That snort laughter..." Bart sighed in annoyance. "She gave the same thing when that Colin dude came along..."

"Wasn't that when-" Chum Chum began.

"We don't ever speak of the dome incident again," Bart cut in harshly. "Ever."

By the way, that dome incident Bart was talking about in the end, yeah that was the major scene from The Simpsons Movie. A really awesome movie, by the way. And that Colin guy he was talking about...Lisa's intended love interest in the movie. He made her smile and laugh.

Skoodge did better: He made her smile and snort! :XD:
