Amazing Girl of Another World

My first ever crossover picture of The Amazing World of Gumball.

Really, I immediately fell in love with the show as soon as I saw its previews. It is totally original and well-imagined! It's the perfect kind of cartoon for 2011 and it just rocks!

Gumball, Darwin, and others like Anais, Nicole, and even Penny are great characters...but my favorite character who's a minor on the show is definitely Leslie the flower boy.

He's so cute and nice and just so sweet! I bet if I could smell him, he'd smell sweeter than a Victoria's Secret perfume bottle!

While I wanted to make a drawing featuring Gumball and Leslie, I also decided I wanted to add my Camp Lazlo OC, Rosaline Cheeks.

God, it's been a years since I've drawn her. This was the ONLY drawing I ever featured her in [link]

I have given a lot of thought into her character and personality. I don't want her to turn out girly like my Mucha Lucha OC Abjay or tough like my Chowder OC Florentine. I think if I were to choose what character she would be like, it would have to be like Applejack from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

She's cute and hard-working and likes nature, and enjoys helping raise money for both Camp Kidney and Acorn Flats.

Now I mentioned she was an intended love interest for Harold the Walrus...but then I've noticed how I seem to be pairing my OCs with characters from other shows...

If you think she and Leslie would make an interesting couple, tell me.

So I'm trying to fit how the Camp Lazlo characters had met with the other cartoons in my world...it has to do something with the TMNT turtles bumping into Lumpus and Jane and Squirrel helps introduce each other, considering Jane knows Squirrel from back then. And so the Camp Lazlo characters are part of the family...

And how the Gumball characters met the other cartoons...I think it might take place right after Zim met Rocky and the others and became part of the cartoon family. My best choice would have to be that Twilight Sparkle had accidentally summoned a spell that sends her, Rocky, and Zim into The Amazing World of Gumball...Still working on that...

Anyway, so here's how it goes:

Gumball's school is doing a fundraiser and he winds up paired with Leslie while Masami, the spoiled little cloud girl, hogs Darwin away. Gumball is both upset and excited about teaming up with Leslie, who will do exactly what he says just to hang out.

So the two set to work trying to sell chocolate. Rosie and Lazlo, who have arrived into Gumball's world through Twilight's magic, are doing a fundraiser for their camps by selling perfume(as suggested by Jane).

Of course, Leslie and Gumball and the others have met them before. And they quickly greet them as they pass by...and Leslie is to awestruck to remain focused on his fundraiser, much to Gumball's chagrin.

By the way, if you haven't already known, Rosie's a meerkat, which the choice of animal was inspired by my love of The Lion King, and Timon being my favorite character. Which is why Gumball calls her a 'female Timon'. Oh, and her last name was derived from Sandy Cheeks, a character on Spongebob Squarepants.

I did her hair for this drawing because I thought of Applejack's hair...and I thought braids would work really good for her since I finally brought Rosie back into my gallery.

Oh, and about the bandage on her face, don't worry, she didn't get hurt or anything. If you recall she has a mole, or a beauty mark, which she hates and usually covers it up.

EDIT: Okay, now I put in a background. I meant to put one in the original, but I forgot at last minute after coloring the characters.Considering The Amazing World of Gumball takes place in in somewhat reality, I thought I'd put an actual real background for that Gumball flare.
