'So she does like fruity pastries...'

I just really wanted to draw this because it is one of my favorite scenes from chapter 2 of my MLP FIM cartoon crossover story "Chaotic Order" [link] As well as chapter 13 of my non-crossover version "Discordant Feelings" entitled, "Red and Gold Eyes" [link]

In this scene, Twilight has just returned back to Ponyville after a party with her parents up in Cloudsdale. She had been quite the sight of it all considering her Disney-like dress...which was secretly inspired by the remembrance of a certain Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony. His eyes, actually.

A few hours after coming home, she gets a knock on her door. When she opens it, there's no one there. She finds a basket of fruity pastries on her doorstep. Though she's touched, she wonders who had sent them. Then she notices Pipsqueak scurrying by and she assumes it was him.

I'm sure everyone already knows the chapter of both stories. Even though Discord didn't appear until the next one, I thought it would be great to draw the scene from his point of view. COTTON CANDY CLOUD!

Oh, if only Discord knew the idea behind Twilight's beautiful dress was simply his red and gold eyes.

Oh, and the real inspiration behind Twilight's dress? I LOVE Beauty and the Beast.



Twilight paced back and forth, trying to think of a good way to speak her mind well tomorrow when she heard a knock on the door. Who would be calling at this hour?

Opening her door, shivering as the slight wind blew through the gown she still wore, Twilight shifted her eyes, wondering who was the wise pony that played the game of knock and ditch at her door. She gave a frustrated sigh before turning to go back inside.

However, her eyes caught sight of something in front of her. Raising an eyebrow, she bent down and her eyes widened a bit.

A basket. Full of fruity pastries. Her favorite treats! But who would...?

She turned her head from side to side, wondering who had left her such a gift so late.

Suddenly, she caught sight of something small and adorable quickly trotting past her house, his little legs carrying as much speed as they could.

Twilight smiled to herself. "Aw, Pipsqueak..." She said quietly as she watched the pinto pony scurry off.
