'...GLAD Discord's stone.'

I REALLY wanted to draw more Discord and I really wanted to draw Mordecai's thoughts on the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony. Also, I wanted to draw Blondecai again.

If anyone was wondering about his outfit, he's dressed like that because he's embracing his blondeness. And because Twilight likes his blonde hair [link] he thinks an outfit to go with it will impress her even further.

First time I drew blonde Mordecai as well as Discord, though in stone, was here [link] FYI, I drew that way before I watched "Bet to Be Blonde". And after I posted it and saw the episode, I realized that the outfit I made for Mordecai looks almost as similar as to the one he wears in that episode. Talk about coincidence.

Anyway, from that last picture, I mentioned how Mordecai has been reading some of Twilight's books lately. Ever since he met her, and has formed a secret crush on her, he's become more interested in stuff like magic and the thought of going to a good college where he might become the faithful student of some royal and learn about friendship and all that. Well, after hearing from her about the events of Discord, the MLP FIM "Return of Harmony" episode, he's been hitting the books about Discord. And honestly, he does not like that guy even though he never met him...

After having dinner with Twilight's old classmates in Canterlot, Mordecai drops her home in Ponyville and heads back to his town where he meets up with Rigby at the diner.

Mordecai talks about how the dinner went fine and how beautiful Twilight looked in her golden yellow dress and all. He even tells Rigby about how much more lovely Canterlot has become since the last time his unicorn friend took him there.

But one thing Mordecai gets deep into is Discord. He tells Rigby about before he and Twilight went to dinner, they went to the gardens and visited the Discord statue. He tells Rigby how guilty Twilight was over the events with the Elements of Harmony and turning him into stone. He tells him that even though he couldn't have positive thoughts about Discord, he still gave condolences for Twilight's sake.

Then he drifts off to the conversation he and Twilight had earlier about her quest regarding Discord.

He remembers Twilight telling him how Discord had magically taken her and Rarity's horns as well as Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy's wings, creating rules for finding the elements in a labyrinth.

Then he remembers her telling him how Discord had ran his lion paw down her cheek, scaring her a little...

Mordecai's head is filled with thoughts of fear and concern for what could have happened to Twilight. If she hadn't remained true to her friends...if she just gave up like that...if Discord had won...

Though peace had been restored to Equestria and Twilight and her friends are fine now, Mordecai can't help but feel the chill of what could have happened if...

He imagines Twilight being so scared, and alone to face Discord. How helpless she seemed...and needing Mordecai...

And it's with that thought, that even though Mordecai had given a little sympathy for the Discord statue earlier...he realizes that he does hate the guy and is glad he's imprisoned in stone once again.

The bluejay's just happy he's not harming other ponies...not harming dear Twilight.

Have it your way however Mordecai really felt when he said that. Was he just angry and worried? Or maybe he was just jealous and being hostile?

Though it seems highly unlikely that Twilight thought about Mordecai when she was on the verge of fear while going up against Discord...a guy can dream, can't he?
