What if Discord tries to...?

A really drastic scene from Chapter 6 of my MLP FIM story "Chaotic Order" [link]

It's the scene where after all of Equestria as well as non-pony friends outside of the kingdom are desperately searching for Twilight because they assume Discord kidnapped her and Mordecai's having nightmarish thoughts about what Discord might do to her. I will admit, I'm a little embarrassed I actually drew this because it's kind of dark compared to the other story scenes I've drawn, but at least you guys know what exactly runs through Mordecai's head that persuades him to actually consider KILLING Discord.

At least I put some child innocence on the bottom with Fanboy and Chum Chum.



Mordecai sat on the steps of the house as he tiredly read over another Equestrian book. He barely had any sleep last night and he didn't even bother to shower nor eat breakfast this morning.

All he did was focus on any type of work that would aid him in finding Twilight.

And lead him to capturing that monster.

The bluejay gulped, fear nearly swallowing him as his mind swam with so many possibilities as to what Discord might be doing to Twilight. Poor, sweet, lovely, innocent Twilight...

Would Discord take her horn away again? Would he simply torture her through his magic of chaos and cause her unrest and unhappiness?

Suddenly, a dark, scary thought came to Mordecai's mind as his pupils nearly dilated at that thought.

What if Discord tries to...? Against her will?

No! Mordecai's mind shouted, although that image never escaped his mind.

This was Equestria! Not Mordecai's town nor any of the other towns where non-pony, human people lived! These Equestrian creatures were innocent and pure, he obviously knew that.

And Discord was just some mischievous bastard who liked to mess with everyone...especially Twilight.

But still, as Mordecai's face became pale, the image of Discord gazing into Twilight tearful eyes as he held her down, looking at her with an evil grin as she gazed at him in complete fear...

"He's just the stupid Spirit of Chaos..." Mordecai told himself repeatedly, digging his fingers into his unruly blonde hair. "He wouldn't dream of taking her body..."

"Uh, is Mordecai okay?"

"He looks like he's constipated."

The bluejay flinched before turning to see that it was just Fanboy and Chum Chum, the superhero-wannabe kids that had stayed over at the house last night after assisting them on the search. Benson stood with them, keys to the golf cart in his hand.

"No, kids, Mordecai's just having it rough right now," the gumball machine told them. "Why don't you wait in the golf cart? I got to talk to him for a bit."

As soon as the boys left them alone, Benson turned and gazed at Mordecai with so much worry.

"Hey, you didn't eat anything today," he told him gently. "And..." He cringed as he held his nose. "Oh, my gosh! You stink!"

"Well, sorry," Mordecai retorted sarcastically as he went back to his work. "Maybe later I'll bathe for His Highness."

Benson sighed as he stood close by him. "Mordecai, look..." He began. "I know Twilight missing has really gotten to you-"

"Dude, I'm freaking scared here!" Mordecai cried, standing up. "Discord has Twilight, and we're nowhere close to finding either of them!" He tightened his fists as he glared at the ground. "Maybe we'd find them faster if some stupid red bird didn't suck at believing the magic of friendship..."

"Oh, yeah..." Benson winced. "Eileen told me. You know, that was kind of harsh."

"Me? Harsh?" Mordecai demanded. "That stupid, boy-playing waitress said that this shouldn't concern us! That Twilight missing shouldn't concern us! And I'm the one who's harsh?"

"Mordecai, please calm down," Benson rubbed his head, "okay, maybe Margaret deserved all that stuff you said to her."

"Yeah, sure..." Mordecai muttered as his eyes remained glued on the ground.

"Look," Benson told him gently, "I know how much you care about Twilight. And with that, I know you'll find her. We all will."

The bluejay finally looked at him amazed that his usually grouchy boss was actually being so supportive of him. "Wow, thanks, Benson..."

"Hey, anytime, Mordecai," Benson said as he turned and began to walk away.

"Hey, Benson?"

"Yeah?" He looked back at him.

"You don't think I suck, do you?" The bluejay asked nervously.

Benson chuckled. "Not as much as Rigby."

"Okay, that works," Mordecai managed to smile.

The gumball machine nodded before walking off. Mordecai's smile slowly faded as he sat back down and gazed at the book he was reading. While studying helped a little, he knew he needed to do better.

As soon as Benson was gone, Mordecai reached over across the staircase and took out something he bought on Ebay weeks ago.

It was a thick bo staff Mordecai wanted to have to add to his collection of action memorabilia. It just laid in his room, untouched unless he and Rigby were fooling around playing ninja.

But last night, while he was searching, Mordecai had spent time to place some special additions to the staff.

Mordecai's face darkened as he smoothed the staff in his lap, an expression of vengeance clear on his face.

"Hang on, Twilight..." He muttered. "I'm coming."

His grip tightened on the weapon as he thought of the monster that had taken her.

"Look out, Discord..." He muttered as he adjusted the tip of the staff. "I'm coming for you..."

Suddenly, out of the tip of the staff popped something small but sharp.

A tiny blade.

Mordecai pursed his lips as he gazed at the addition he placed on the staff. He wasn't one to kill, especially some creature who resided in Equestria...and killing Discord would not impress Twilight even if Mordecai did save her.

But that was a nice image to think of, like those action movies not intended for children.

Even though Mordecai wasn't going to kill Discord...he would give that beast the worst swipe of his life.
