Kind of related to my recent journal entry [link]
Not only do I cry out for attention, but so do most of the cartoons we know and love.
Voltar from the League of Super Evil:
To be honest, his whole catchphrase, "I demand to be acknowledged!" is what started this picture. Originally, I was going to have Squirrel say the phrase, on accoun of that's ME crying out. But it's Voltar's line, so I left to him to bring on the humor!
Lisa Simpson from The Simpsons:
She works hard in every single episode of every season just to try and change Springfield for the better. Because, let's face it, Springfield is sort of a shame. Poor Lisa. She tries SO hard to make a difference, but no one pays her any mind, not even her own parents. But Milhouse and Bart on the other hand...
Butters Stotch from South Park:
I was originally going to add Wallabee Beatles from Codename: Kids Next Door, but had no room. But Butters is a good example of a character who cries out for attention. I mean, come on, his butthole parents ground him for the most RIDICULOUS reasons! And the other guys, especially Cartman, treat him like crud just because he's a innocent, little angel.
These three and many more cartoon characters that you can think of cry out for attention. What cartoon have you watched and paid attention to today?
NOTE: The book that Lisa's reading says, "How to Start a Fire". I'll leave that to your imagination.
