The result is...

I PASSED MY CNA EXAM! I'M OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED AS A NURSING ASSISTANT!

Pardon me for not finishing this last night after coming home from my exam...but I was in that class since 6 in the morning and had to stay for 13 anxiety-filled hours. 

But it was worth it!

(Had to wear my hair up in a bun like this because it seemed like a good-pointer, and all the other girls had it like that too while I was the only one with a ponytail. Buns are VERY hard to work on by myself, that's why I had one of the girls do it for me...)The written portion was kind of easier, and passing that allowed me to move on to the second half of the entire exam...which was putting my CNA skills to the test. The proctors judging me were a bit strict, pressed for timing, and pretty much bombarded me with questions I don't think any of us had been prepared for.

After doing the two practice stations that felt like I did absolute s*** on, I wanted to just run out of that classroom, go home, and cry because I believed I already failed (and plan for how I can retake the test if I really did fail). But something inside me said to stay, that I just HAD to remain for the final practice station of the exam. By that time, I had a little more confidence and succeeded the third and final part of the skills exam.

As we all sat in our seats, awaiting our fates, I was biting off all my nails until skin was being nibbled off and I kind of bled at the cuticles. Finally, one of the proctors called me over. I kept my head up, prepared for the worst...

She asked me to sign my PASSED testing papers before I received my official cards that stated I have succeeded my overall exam.

I pretty much cried as I walked out of the classroom, holding my papers with pride as everyone who was still waiting for their results congratulated and embraced me.

I think I almost kissed my instructor, the man responsible for making this opportunity possible for me...but I just hugged him. I decided I wanted to celebrate a kiss with someone else...

Squidward was the first before Larry to learn of me passing my exam. Out of any cartoon character right now, he deserved to know first. Because, well, I kept my hopes up despite my anxiety about this exam, and my success has reminded Squidward of how there's so much hope for him as well. Plus, I needed someone to carry my shoulder bag and stethoscope bag. (The day before the exam, I realized I left my bag with my stethoscope and blood pressure apparatus inside after I finished my last day of practicing...TWO DAYS before my final test. Not just that, it was my MOM's stethoscope that I left behind. Thankfully, my instructor kept it at his desk this whole time and now I have it back, THANK GOD.)

I asked my dad what mom would have thought. He told me she's proud, having witnessed my success from up there.  

Thank you, everyone, who has supported me during my days of stressing and worrying. Now I can finally work alongside a very handsome, and very overworked, multi-job Elmore citizen... cartuneslover16.deviantart.com…
