TS: Bite Out of Justice

Ever since I watched "The Last Temptation of Homer", I looked deep into Mindy's profile and read, which was in quote by Homer, that Mindy 'hit the bottle pretty hard' after he rejected her, and that she got fired. Well, we see a lot of her in the Nuclear Plant, and also in the background, so they must have rehired her.

Also, if you guys remember that whenever someone(mostly Homer) is in court, the blue-haired lawyer is always there to either stand for, or go against, the suspect. It's sad that all he's known as is 'the blue-haired lawyer' to fans...that and 'asty-faced lawyer'.

Mindy is one character who deserves someone to love...and 'asty face' needs someone to take his mind off his hard-working persona and relax and enjoy life.

If I were to give the lawyer a name and bio, here it is:

Name: Albertus Finch (like Atticus Finch from 'To Kill a Mockingbird' I LOVE that book! )

Bio: Born to a wealthy, middle-class family, Albertus wanted to become a top-lawyer in Springfield, the very best. So he pushed most of his childhood necessities aside and studied hard. He did very well in school, and in high school, he got himself a scholarship and went to Harvard.

Now a successful lawyer living in upper Springfield, Albertus only type of fun is his work and reading in his study in his home. His boss and co-workers tell him he needs a break, a vacation, but he refuses every chance he's given. If there's one thing he could ever love...it's definitely work.

But, during one town hall meeting, he bumps into Mindy Simmons, who was busy scarfing down donuts after she knew Homer had left. At first, Albertus insults her for being a pig and not being more serious, but after getting to know her, his entire personal opinion on her changes. When he tells her that hard work pays off and that you should never lay off, Mindy tells him otherwise that life's too short and that everyone should have fun.

Soon, Albertus finds himself at a town beach party with Mindy. Feeling embarrassed by wearing swim shorts, he wears his business suit over it, much to Mindy's displeasue. So she playfully pushes him into the water and joins him afterwords. Instead of going all ballistic, Albertus actually has fun and he and Mindy play and have fun with the rest of the town.

When night falls and Albertus brings her home, Mindy kisses him and asks him out for breakfast at IHOP. Her treat, and she'll promise to share her heavily stacked strawberry pancakes with him! For the first time in so, SO long...Albertus finds love.

But soon he finds him and Mindy in danger when Homer is shot in the arm and Mindy is found as the suspect. Don't worry, Homie's alright! Homer thinks Mindy tried to shoot him because of his rejection, so he hires Albertus to trial against her. Albertus refuses to trial against the one he loves, but has no choice when Lionel Hutz comes to Mindy's first, despite her annoyance in him.

Torn between his job and his love, Albertus works hard in finding evidence that Mindy never shot Homer and that he could lose the trial on purpose. He visits her at the jail everyday until the next trial starts; she doesn't hate him for being foreced to trial against her. She loves him very much and would break out of jail and hide with him if she loses the trial.

Bart and Lisa come into the picture and it is them that saves Mindy from going behind bars. The real caper who shot Homer is...

...Hank Scorpio.

Hank confesses that he shot Homer because if Homer hadn't left Cypress Creek and still worked for him, somehow, Homer would've been his tikcet to world conquest. Yeah, go figure...

Hank is placed a year in prison, and Mindy is set free. A week after the incident, Albertus gets up the guts to ask Mindy to be his wife, and she gratefully accepts. The wedding is taken place at Town Hall, and the wedding cake is one big cherry-glazed donut...which Homer took a big bite out of while Albertus and Mindy were giving their vows!

Albertus, for the first time ever, asks for a few weeks off to spend some time with his new wife...and the boss couldn't be more proud.

See, even someone as serious as him could have someone as dimwitted and charming as Mindy.
