Happy 2012, everyone, I'm sure this year will be great. 
I know it's a little late, but I had this AWESOME idea for a tribute to the new year and decided to just do it despite it being a few days late. 
When it comes around to the holidays, I drink sparkling cider, especially the apple-flavored kind; I don't drink alcohol.
Which was an addition to the awesome idea of adding Applejack here with her special Apple family juice. 
Okay, I just know Margaret fans are going to hate me, but I REALLY wanted to draw her again because it's been so long and this picture was the very first one that I put her in [link] I don't hate her or anything like that...but I thought this would be funny. 
I just realized this is the first ever time I've drawn Twilight and Margaret in the same picture...and with Mordecai! It almost seems awkward yet funny, Mordecai standing between the red robin who used to be his crush and the unicorn who he has a MAJOR crush on.
And Mr. Baldwin...so many pictures of him in my gallery during 2011, I just had to add him here because he's an important person to Twilight, like a second father.

A few hours away before the clock strikes midnight, Mordecai decides to open another jug of Applejack's homemade apple cider to pass on more drinks to his friends.
He and Margaret chat a bit while he works on the darn thing, trying to take out the cork. Although his hands are focused on the jug, his eyes are completely focused on dear Twilight Sparkle in her pretty party dress and adorable mane.
Twilight and Applejack notice that Mordecai is unknowingly shaking the bottle while trying to open it, and they know that always spells disaster.
Twilight tries to warn Mordecai...too late.
As Margaret just endured, the new year is definitely going to start off with a bang.
