Her Knight in Shining Chassis

Requested by , she wanted a picture featuring her ponysona Sara [link] smothering Ogo with major fangirl love, because she stated she finds Ogo adorable.

During one conversation, I asked her who her favorite male MLP FIM character was and she stated it was Shining Armor. So I thought it would be a great idea to draw both her favorite stallion and the Mechanical who touches every RnM fan's heart, especially hers and mine.

I'm going to be honest with you...Shining Armor is most DEFINITELY one of my least favorite characters. In fact, and I thank for being supportive for my opinion, I don't think I even LIKE him.

Yeah, I'm hearing a mass majority of boos right now.

Well, sorry, I mean, yeah, he's cute...but he doesn't top Big Macintosh, to be honest. I mean, I got a number of reasons why I don't like him, but they're all hard to explain. Maybe the fact that Hasbro decided NOW to put him in the series when they had all Season 1 to give him a quick cameo, mainly in that flashback scene in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" where we saw Twilight's PARENTS. And now I'm all like "Twilight has a brother?" Trust me, a part of me had hoped the rumors were wrong.

Yeah, that sounded really mean-spirited, but I KNOW I'm not the ONLY one who has a slight dislike for him. And you guys have your least favorite ponies, too, even those that nearly EVERY fan adores and becomes too defensive about.

And about "A Canterlot Wedding"...yeah, just going to throw my opinion into the pool of sharks and be honest that I did NOT like it. So many things were 'out-of-place', so many things were left unresolved, and the songs weren't exactly the best way to end it, although I'm starting to warm up to that "This Day Aria". Seriously, I hoped for another 'At the Gala'.

I know, a while back, when that two-part episode aired for the first time, I sounded excited and happy and even stated how 'wonderful' it was as shown in my summary for my tribute to "A Canterlot Wedding" [link]

Honestly, I was just fooling myself and was a little nervous to get it open with everyone else because, let's face it, it was the episode of the summer and every brony and pegasister was thrilled and kept talking about it.

Now that the episode's old news, realization comes clear and I had WISHED "MMMystery on the Friendship Express" was the LAST episode of Season 2. At least that episode ended on a light note, despite that Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash totally betrayed their elements for a bite of cake.

Again, sorry, I mean, I have a number of male characters on MLP FIM that I ABSOLUTELY adore...Shining Armor just isn't one of them.

And if I do draw Shining Armor again...it's not going to be happy.

Who knows? Maybe my opinion about him will change just like it did for Granny Smith. Yeah, in Season 1, I thought she was a lost cause, but after the episode of Season 2, she definitely reminds me of my grandma.
