Chubby Cheeks

Okay, so this morning, I saw the new MLP FIM episode "Family Appreciation Day", and even though I was thrilled that it was focused on dear Granny Smith...this little guy immediately caught my attention!

He was seen sitting behind Apple Bloom in the classroom, and he was also in the scenes near the end when they were visiting her farm and trying zap apple jam and hopping like rabbits with Granny Smith.

And yes, I thought he looked like Snips.

What first came to my mind when I saw him: HE'S SO CUTE! His adorable, chubby little cheeks with hints of blush and his cute, big, blue eyes. He won my heart so quickly! He's so cute, he's on the same line of cutness as Pipsqueak from that Nightmare Night episode.

I really wanted to draw a cartoon crossover picture featuring him, and what character did he remind me of chubby cheeks?

Gunther!

Really, it's like they're pony and human brothers! They're both so cute!

And because I really wanted to name a background pony for once, I decided to name him Chubby Cheeks. Because of his cute, big cheeks!

Visiting the farm, Kick and Gunther are amazed by all the zap apple jam Applejack and her family have made; Gunther buying dozens of jars because he's nuts about the flavor.

He and Kick even join in singing to the water cans with Granny Smith and the other fillies, and laughing at Diamond Tiara behind her back.

Taking a break, Gunther has a conversation with the male pony known as Chubby Cheeks...and he is just in AWE by his cuteness.



EDIT: Well, with a little encouragement, I went to the MLP FIM wikia site and edited this guy's little bio. Deleted 'unnamed colt' and put in the name 'Chubby Cheeks'. Hope I don't make too many fans angry.
