Ronaldo glanced over to see Ogie smile softly at him as they continued strolling down his neighborhood. Not just them, but the rest of the kids as well as Ronaldo turned and watched Rocky show Kick her Tale of Discord book.

The lesson about Discord had only been a couple of hours, and Ronaldo felt disheartened it couldn't have been longer. As soon as he entered the home of the kid he knew as Manny Rivera, aka El Tigre, he felt happy being among kids who actually knew how to have fun and relied on each other.

Not that Kendall was lousy at having fun or anything...but Ronaldo knew she wasn't the fun-FUN type no matter how much he insisted it was 'educational'.

"Hey, Ronaldo!" He turned and saw Django strum his bony fingers against his guitar, a playful smirk on his face. "Know this tune?"

"Ronaldo does seem like the Mexican music type," Abjay said, stroking her hair. "No, he seems more of the DJ type. Right?" She gazed directly at him.

"Well, yeah," Ronaldo rubbed the back of his neck. "But Kendall has gotten me into opera."

"Opera?" He turned to see Rocky's cousin Wally gag. "Hearing nails on a chalkboard sounds better than that crud! How can you like it?"

"Uh, honestly..." Ronaldo averted his gaze. "I don't like it either...but it makes Kendall happy to pretend I do!" He added quickly.

He flinched when Kick finally turned to look at him, the daredevil had spent all this time avoiding any conversation with him, Ronaldo thought he was just standing near him for the sake of the others. Kick didn't show any hostility in his expression, just a raised eyebrow.

"For Kendall, huh?" He asked.

"Well, she is my girlfriend..." Ronaldo mumbled.

"She doesn't act like one!" He turned to look at Ogie, who immediately regretted what she said. "I mean..." She blushed. "...she can't make you like something you hate! That's not a good thing!"

"Aw, lighten up, Ogster!" Fanboy chuckled as he and Chum Chum placed arms around Ronaldo playfully. "Kendall may be boring, cranky, pushy..."

"Let's not forget mean-hearted!" Chum Chum chirped.

"That, too," Fanboy nodded before turning back to Ronaldo, "but anyway..." He paused. "What was I talking about?"

Rocky smiled and rolled her eyes as Kick tried to hold his guffaws. "Let's not focus on Kendall, okay?"

"Who?" Kick chuckled.

"RONALDO!"

The kids cried out, all startled from that unexpected shrill voice. Ronaldo gulped, glasses nearly falling off his face as he stared off a few feet away from them.

Kendall had her hands on her hips and glared at her boyfriend, as well as all the other children behind him. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed at Kick, who stood beside Rocky.

Ronaldo felt his body shake, fearfully gazing at the fuming blonde. Suddenly, he looked down...

...and noticed Ogie's hand clutching his arm.

Ronaldo's eyes widened before looking over to see Ogie gaze at him with so much concern, her hold on him tightening as if fearing that letting him go would get him in danger. He stared at her, doing his best to smile, grateful for her concern. Finally, he gently broke from her hold and stood in front of the other kids as Kendall marched over to him.

"Where were you?" She demanded. "I texted you a thousand times and you didn't respond to any of them!"

Ronaldo blinked. "Y-you did?"

"She did?" Gunther whispered to Kick, rolling his eyes.

Ronaldo's eyes suddenly widened before he quickly dug into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He nearly screamed, seeing how many missed text messages he had received.

Kendall frown deepened as she glared at him. "You could dump those messages anyhow! The movie already ended, and I was the only person in the theater!"

"I'm not surprised," Kick muttered.

"Oh, Kendall, I'm so sorry!" Ronaldo cried desperately.

Rocky stepped forward, her book close to her chest as she stood between him and the angry blonde. "It's my fault," she insisted calmly.

Ronaldo's mouth fell as he gazed at her. Kendall's frown didn't cease as she simply raised an eyebrow at her. Rocky bit her lip, fiddling with her book nervously.

"See, we were having a little group meeting," she explained, "and I asked for everyone to turn off their phones, I really didn't know-"

"Kendall, I know you're angry," Ronaldo intervened, not wanting Rocky to take the blame, "but the lesson Rocky gave us was amazing!" And he actually smiled, holding his arms up to prove his excitement.

"Amazing?" Kendall asked doubtfully, still upset.

"Well, yeah!" Before Rocky could say anything, he grabbed the book from her and showed Kendall the cover. "See?"

Kendall gazed at the title. "The Tale of Discord?"

"It's a great book!" Fanboy chirped behind Ronaldo. "Rocky told us about what Twilight and her friends did when they summoned the Elements of Harmony! If we thought the story of how they defeated Nightmare Moon was cool, this story is 20% cooler!"

Kendall still looked unimpressed. "Wait a minute..." She let out a sarcastic laugh. "You guys have been learning about magic?"

"Not just magic," Ronaldo insisted desperately, "about chaos, harmony, friendship!" He opened the book. "Equestrian history and stuff! Rocky knows a lot of it! I mean, maybe if we asked the princesses-"

"Oh, listen to you!" Kendall snapped.

Ronaldo immediately shut his mouth, closing the book as he gazed at her fearfully. She just rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"I know the ponies, and their little 'magic of friendship'..." She added scornfully. "But please! Who cares about this stuff when there's real history to be reading?"

"But this is real history!" Ronaldo cried. "It's better than our history!"

"Ronaldo," Ogie came close behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"We're wasting time right now, sweetiekins," Kendall said in a poise tone before turning her back on the kids. She didn't notice Frida sticking her tongue out at her. "So say goodbye to these Wizards of Wacky Place and let's go. Another movie is bound to show."

"Aw, does he have to leave?" All eyes turned to Gunther. "Because he seemed awesome to get along with for once."

"Like my boyfriend would hang out with you and Clarence," Kendall huffed. Nose held high, she took a step forward-

-and nearly slipped.

"Kendall!" Rocky and Ronaldo exclaimed before helping her regain her balance.

"What the heck was that?" The blonde cried before looking over at the ground.

Something pink and gooey laid on the ground.

All the kids gathered around it, gazing at it in pure awe. Finally, Chum Chum bent down.

And licked it.

"You're disgusting!" Kendall cried.

The orange-clad child tapped a finger to his chin as he smacked his lips. His eyes brightened as he savored the taste.

"Cotton candy!" He cried.

"Really?" Fanboy cried. "Oh, man, there must be a carnival near by."

"But there isn't," Kick said, sounding so surprised as he gazed at the ground. "We don't have a carnival for a few more months. We-"

Suddenly, he felt a drop on his shoulder.

Raising an eyebrow, Kick gently looked behind him, wondering if someone had tapped him.

Then a few more drops fell on his helmet.

"What the-?" Kick exclaimed before he and the kids looked up.

Kendall's jaw dropped as she gazed at the clouds. And rain.

"Chocolate milk!" Gunther cried out happily as the liquid began to pour rapidly down on them.

By now, the kids, minus Rocky, Kendall, Kick, Ogie, and Ronaldo, were all dancing in the unexpected yet glorious gift that fell on their heads as they held their tongues out to sample the delicious flavor while trying to reach up to the cotton candy clouds that poured them.

"Okay..." Kendall gulped, averting her eyes away from everything. She felt uneasy, tugging on her hair as she tried to rid her sudden anxiety. "I...I know I didn't get much sleep last night but..." She shuddered, wondering if she was losing her mind. No one paid any attention to her as they all gazed up at the commotion before them.

Ronaldo adjusted his glasses as chocolate milk dripped on them. He stood close to Rocky and Ogie as he continued gazing at the sky, at the cotton candy clouds.

"The lesson you gave us, Rocky..." He said, his voice quiet and serious. "Didn't you say that Discord...?"

"But that's impossible!" Rocky exclaimed. "Twilight and her friends turned him into stone!"

"Discord?" Kick raised an eyebrow. "Look, Rocks, I know I haven't thought about him in a long time...but you think maybe he'd be out for revenge or whatever?"

"R-revenge?" Ogie gulped.

"Guys, guys!"Rocky urged them. "Remember what I said! Discord may be the Spirit of Disharmony, but-"

"ARE YOU GUYS STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS STUPID MAGIC STUFF?" Kendall shouted, trying to cover herself from the rain. "Because this isn't magic! This is chaos!"

Rocky turned to her and actually narrowed her eyes at her for once. She was about to give the blonde a piece of her mind-

Suddenly, amused laughter broke out, stopping her before she could even open her mouth. Rocky gasped as she and the kids immediately stopped what they were doing, all gazing around them. Kendall's eyes widened in horror, shuddering as the laughter came and was replaced by a voice she thought was chilling.

"I can see you're not much for simple fun, are you, girl in the sweater?"

Kendall screamed, reaching over and clinging onto Ronaldo, who stood his place as he regarded his surroundings.

"Oh, don't be afraid of me..." Said the voice, sounding calm.

Ronaldo edged closer to Rocky. "Still think he's still in stone?"

Rock gulped. "No..." She squeaked.

Before Ronaldo could say anything, a flash of light emerged from the ground, nearly blinding them as it sparkled before their eyes. While the other kids were busy shading their eyes, Rocky and Ronaldo were the only ones that couldn't break their gaze, knowing full-well that what they couldn't believe was impossible as the flash suddenly took form...

...and standing before them was the Draconequus himself.

"Holy..." Kendall muttered, feeling a sudden lump in her throat as she gazed at the creature before them. "I'm dreaming...I'm having a nightmare..."

"I'm not..." Abjay said, her eyes sparkling as she gazed up at Discord. "If this is a dream...I hope I never wake up!" She swooned, her cheeks flushing as her tongue wagged out of her mouth. "Oh, my gosh! It's him! It's actually him!"

Discord merely smiled as he gazed down at the children before him. Then his eyes fell on Rocky, noticing The Tale of Discord in her hands. With a chuckle, he slithered down to her height and stood between her and Ronaldo.

"Oh, aren't you kids just adorable!" He cooed. "It's so nice that the ponies have made friends outside of Equestria!"

Rocky bit her lip, her brown eyes widening as she gazed up at him. She had studied so much about him...she never thought she'd actually meet him.

How did he break out of his stone prison?

But the question never came out of her mouth. "D-discord?"

The creature gave a wide grin. "That's me!" He sang.

"No way..." He turned to see Ronaldo look at him in disbelief. "I'm actually..." He tried not to show his excitement despite not smiling. "The Spirit of Disharmony..."

"Well, seems you kids know me well," Discord chuckled, seeing their stunned faces.

"I want to wake up!" Kendall cried, rubbing her head.

Discord raised an eyebrow at her before slithering by her side, nearly making her scream. "Don't believe in magic, huh?" He asked her.

Kendall didn't say anything, she just pursed her lips and stood away from him. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"So how else would I have brought out my gifts of cotton candy clouds and chocolate rain for you children?" He asked calmly. "Certainly your kind of weather doesn't conjure this..."

"I...uh..." The blonde gulped.

Rocky stepped forward, feeling somewhat determined as she stood before the Draconequus. "Are...are you..." She swallowed hard. "Are you going to hurt us?"

Discord turned to her, raising an eyebrow at her question. She was young, innocent, holding the book about him tightly to her chest. She wasn't accusing him or anything...but still, she was worried.

"My dear," Discord said, "surely because I did some pranks in the past, and had been turned into stone twice, I-"

"DISCORD!"

All eyes turned and Discord sighed in annoyance as he saw Rainbow Dash along with the other five ponies behind her, all soaked under the chocolate rain but glaring at him.

"Leave the kids alone!" She pegasus shouted.

"Oh, phooey," Discord sighed.

Rocky looked over the ponies, and her eyes fell on Twilight, who remained behind her friends, quiet and averting her gaze. Rocky raised an eyebrow before turning back to Discord.

He disappeared in a flash.

Suddenly the cotton candy clouds and chocolate rain vanished as well, much to Gunther's disappointment, hoping to have had one last drop.

"Oh, rats!" Rainbow Dash growled as she and the others ran over to the children. "Missed him again!"

"Are you kids alright?" Fluttershy asked them.

"W-we're fine," Ronaldo said, gazing at the yellow pegasus for the first time. "W-was that really...?"

"That's Discord, alright," Applejack stomped her hoof. "That no good varmint's come back!"

"Where do you think he went this time?" Abjay cried, a bit disheartened the Draconequus had left.

"Not sure," Rainbow Dash muttered.

Rocky turned from the others and gazed at Twilight. The unicorn just shuffled her hooves quietly, haven't said a word this whole time. Rocky bit her lip, knowing exactly how she felt.

"Do you have any idea how Discord broke out of the stone?" She turned to see Ronaldo questioning the other ponies. Oh, how glad Rocky was that Ronaldo had joined their meeting.

"We're not sure, partner," Applejack sighed. Then her eyes narrowed. "All I know is, he's going all over the place!"

"But where could he be next?" Pinkie Pie cried.

Rocky continued staring at Twilight. The unicorn caught her gaze and her expression held a guilty expression.

"Do you know where Discord might be next?" Rocky asked gently.

Suddenly, all eyes fell on Twilight, and the unicorn bit her lip, trying to think her mind over.

"Uh..." She gulped. "Well, I think maybe...maybe he might be in Canterlot..." That was the only place in Equestria she could think of. Of course, Canterlot was the first place in which she had seen Discord for the very first time.

"Of course!" Rainbow Dash cried. "Why didn't I think of that?" Canterlot, of course, was the heart of all of Equestria, and where one ruled...

"Let's go, everypony!" Applejack shouted. She turned to Ronaldo and the kids. "You guys stay here, you hear?"

"I'm way ahead of you, horse!" Kendall shouted crazily, shoving the kids out of her way and making a dash for her house.

The others watched as she ran off, screaming her head off and shouting about things not making sense and how she would never drink chocolate milk again.

While the others watched her go, Rocky took this opportunity to speak with Twilight as she neared her side. Twilight caught her glance and shuddered nervously.

"Did you talk to him?" Rocky asked, curiosity deep within her brown eyes.

Twilight lowered her head shamefully. "I...I couldn't say anything."

"I can't blame you," Rocky whispered. "I was lucky to even manage a sentence when he suddenly came here..." She bit her lip. "Twilight...is he going to try and...even outside Equestria...our home...?" She couldn't managed her words, feeling anxiety creep at the back of her throat.

"Well, he doesn't seem to be doing anything besides his usual magic..." Twilight observed the sky where cotton candy clouds used to be.

"He said they were gifts," Rocky said quietly. "Did...did he give you any gifts?"

Twilight thought back to the bouquet of fruity pastries he tended to give her earlier...then she recalled the basket he had left her last night. She averted her gaze, not sure whether to call it a gift or simply an amusement for himself. "I...I guess..."

"Did you say anything to the others yet?" Rocky asked her before shifting her gaze over to the other ponies.

"I tried!" Twilight exclaimed. "But they just won't-"

"Hustle up, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash flapped between her and Rocky. "We got to go to Canterlot! Now!"

Before Twilight could say anything, Pinkie Pie reached over and yanked her by the hooves, dragging her away from Rocky and the kids.

"Good luck, Twilight!" Rocky called out to the unicorn.

Twilight's eyes saddened, knowing exactly why Rocky threw her regards to her only.

As soon as they left, Rocky turned only to sigh at the sight of Abjay practically swooning.

"Oh, wow..." Abjay sighed happily. "That Discord may be evil...but he is so dreamy!"

She was so dazed and lovesick that she barely watched her own boots and tripped. Thankfully, Django was near her side and reluctantly caught her. The skeleton child rolled his eyes.

"I liked it better when you swooned over Justin Bieber," he mocked, "that was less annoying."

While Abjay and Django began arguing, Ronaldo neared by Rocky's side, gazing over the book in her hands.

"I just can't believe it..." He said quietly. "He's actually here. Out of stone."

Rocky shifted her gaze over to him, flipping through the pages. "Well, surprise, surprise, huh?" She managed to chuckle.

"You know, even though he's like the Spirit of Chaos and whatever..." He couldn't wipe the excited grin from his face. "I'm actually glad to meet him. And his magic..." He still remembered having tasted that chocolate rain.

"He's not so bad..." Rocky's voice trailed off as she glanced in the direction the ponies took off.

Her mind immediately reeled over to Twilight, how nervous and unwilling that unicorn had been. Rocky could only hope she would be able to make her friends listen and see straight...or recent events could repeat itself.

As if reading her mind, Ronaldo sighed. "But they don't think so..." Especially Kendall, who he hoped was getting plenty of rest after what just occurred.

It was quiet study time in the class as Mr. Baldwin relaxed in his seat while reading a book. Even his most outrageous student Milo had actually kept his tactics under control as he quietly wrote down his notes from a book.

Mr. Baldwin smiled before patting his bulging belly. Oh, how half of him hoped it would be a baby girl! And hoping she would grow up to be like dear Twilight Sparkle: smart, beautiful, kind, friendly-

Suddenly, his cel phone rang, bringing the whole class to attention as all eyes fell on the teacher.

The pregnant seahorse gave an embarrassed smile before placing down his book and checked his phone.

"Uh, sorry about that, kids," he said as he looked at the ID. "Oh, it's our good friend Twilight Sparkle!"

That snapped Milo to attention as the beta fish looked up from his work, his eyes widening and an excited expression on his face.

His teacher chuckled to himself, surprised to be receiving a call from the unicorn when she already knew when his class hours were. He pressed the button and awaited for her calm, soothing voice.

"Baldwin, are you okay?" Cried out a tone of desperation.

Her voice was much louder than intended that the seahorse actually had to pull his ear away, and the sound made his whole class watch him in confusion.

"Twilight?" Mr. Baldwin asked, gazing at his phone in surprise. "Sweetie, what's wrong?"

"Did he come to your aquarium?" Twilight demanded. "Did he give you unrest and unhappiness?"

Mr. Baldwin raised an eyebrow in confusion as the class continued watching him with complete interest. "Unrest and unhappiness?" He asked. "Twi, what are you talking about?"

"Oh, good, you're okay!" Twilight exclaimed on the phone. "I should have known better than to think Discord would actually visit a pet shop!"

The seahorse's glasses nearly fell down his nose as his eyes widened in total disbelief. "Wait..." His voice trailed off. "Discord?"

"Discord?" His student Bea repeated, raising an eyebrow.

"Girl," her friend Shelsea drawled, "who is Discord?"

The students began murmuring amongst each other as Mr. Baldwin tried to calm down the distraught unicorn on the other line.

"Honey, honey!" Mr. Baldwin tried to assure her. "What...what on Earth is going on? Twilight, can you hear me?"

"Baldwin, I got to go!" Twilight said. "We're heading to Canterlot and I'm worried Discord might do something to my home!"

And before Mr. Baldwin could say anything, the phone went dead.

The class went silent as the seahorse gazed at his phone in disbelief. His heart was thumping rapidly, becoming worried for his daughter figure.

He immediately put away his phone before gazing at his class.

"Class is over early!" He announced before grabbing his coat and swimming out the door to grab his water suit in his car.

"Is...is...Twilight okay?" Milo gulped, watching their teacher leave.

"Hey, come on, bro," Oscar assured him, placing a fin on his shoulder. "Equestria has lots of crazy things happening every day. I'm sure this is just one of those days."

"Really one of those days?" Bea asked beside him. "How many days have we even heard of the name Discord?"

Photo Finish screamed.

Discord merely rolled his eyes as he lounged on her photo scenery while her male pony models scattered off in fear.

"What?" He asked with a sigh. "Is my sheer beauty too much for the cameras?"

Photo Finish let out another scream before she abandoned her camera and ran off, leaving her scenery to Discord's use. The Draconequus simply shook his head, almost barely hearing the terrified ponies around him.

Having arrived in Canterlot after returning from visiting the town of those kids earlier, Discord thought he would just enjoy using his magic to surprise all these stuck-up, dull, upper crust ponies and discover if Canterlot had really changed that much for the last thousand years.

However, as he expected from Ponyville, the ponies around here were just as terrified by the sight of him. Sure, he enjoyed scaring, but this was starting to get ridiculous!

"Look, I know didn't floss this morning," he said with an unamused expression as he got to his feet and simply walked around the streets, ponies scattering off as he neared them. "But am I really that terrifying compared to most of you who look like they're dressed for a haunted house?"

"Well!" One of the Canterlot ponies shouted in disgust, despite running away from him. "I never!"

"Never know what a normal outfit looks like, I bet," and he smirked as he saw the stunned expression on her face before he lifted himself on the ground and lounged around the sky.

"Discord!" He raised his head and gazed over to see six familiar faces regard him with so much hostility.

Well, four hostile faces, actually as he knew Fluttershy was simply bending down in fear, trying to be as brave as her friends. And Twilight...

His eyes suddenly fell on the unicorn that stood off to the side, barely near her friends as she averted her gaze away from his. The Draconequus smirked, hoping to see Twilight again. He had been disappointed when she had spoken little when they had their first encounter earlier, he hoped this time he would get a few more words out of that intelligent mouth of hers.

However, Twilight remained silent as before, and Discord lowered his eyes, clearly unimpressed.

"And what do I owe the pleasure to, Elements of Harmony?" He mocked, leaning down as he floated in the sky.

"We want you to stop it!" Rainbow Dash shouted, her wings flapping furiously. "Enough of this...whatever you're doing!"

Discord rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "For someone so absent-minded, you win first place, Rainbow Dash," he joked. "Haven't I already told you I'm simply here to just enjoy myself and relax?"

"The way I see it," Applejack growled, "relaxing to you is simply causing problems for others!"

"Yes, that had been fun the last time I was here," he said, checking his lion paw. "However, that's become kind of boring to me now..."

"I don't believe it..." Rainbow Dash muttered.

"You tend not to believe in most things," Discord said. "Considering you're one to speak freely and stick by your own beliefs."

"What?" The pegasus raised an eyebrow in confusion. She let out a loud groan. "Enough with this mumbo jumbo! We're going to take you down! Without the elements!"

"You better not have taken them!" Rarity shouted.

"What would I want with the elements?" Discord asked innocently. "I'm  not the jewelry type."

He knew this conversation was pointless, but it was slightly amusing to see all of them this riled up just because he was suddenly back. All of them, everypony, was horrified he had returned...

And Twilight...she was just...confused? Stunned? Curious?

Twilight knew that simply standing off to the side wasn't doing much good as she watched her friends glare at the Draconequus. She had mostly kept herself quiet, trying to figure out the possibilities of how exactly Discord had broken free, as well as ways she could get a word to her friends.

They were too busy and focused on stopping Discord, they didn't have time to listen her. Rainbow Dash seemed like she was leading their team this time...when it was always Twilight who was the true leader of the them all.

Watching her friends not making any moves, simply glaring at the mismatched creature, Twilight knew she needed to say something.

She had to speak to Discord. It had been far too long and she knew she must have looked like a fool back there in Ponyville.

Without further hesitation, the unicorn slowly stepped forward, much to her friends' surprise as they all turned to gaze at her as she quietly approached the Draconequus.

"Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked in an amazed tone as Twilight passed by her.

A pleasing grin spread across Discord's face as Twilight neared him, keeping up a brave face as her purple eyes met his red and gold ones.

"Twilight Sparkle," he chuckled as he lowered himself to the ground and gazed down at her. "About time you finally got the nerve to meet me face-to-face once again. Let's just hope there's something you got in that smart voice of yours, all this silence between us is boring me to tears."

Twilight gulped, gazing up at him while trying her best not to show fear. Discord merely smiled, folding his arms and awaiting any words. It became even more quiet as their last encounter, but he was willing to wait to hear whatever came out of the Element of Friendship and Magic.

The unicorn just stared at him, the Spirit of Disharmony. She just couldn't believe she was seeing him again...

For so long, she had read about him, thought him, accidentally did things in relation to him...she never would have dreamed she would actually be near him again as the day he first popped into Equestria after being released from his first stone imprisonment.

And she never even thought of what she would even say if she ever saw his face again! What did she write in journal? Something about being there for him...showing guilt for what her element had done...

Never give up on him the way a friend should?

Twilight swallowed hard, feeling she was making time go by slowly just standing there. She raised her head up, purple eyes determined as Discord's mismatched looked slightly amused.

Her mind told her to act diplomatic, ask Discord in a firm yet gentle voice how on Earth he got out of his prison and urge him why. When Twilight opened her mouth, what came out-

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, DISCORD?" She demanded in a loud, booming, furious voice.

That was not firm and gentle...

Her friends and distant Canterlot ponies were startled by how loud her voice was. Even Discord had been quite surprised by her tone, but he quickly pushed it aside, simply raising an eyebrow at the unicorn that appeared to be fuming at the sight of him.

Suddenly, it seemed like everything Twilight wrote down in her journal had disappeared as she glared at Discord. She couldn't feel sympathy  for him anymore for some reason, it was like her protective side had boosted to new heights and being soft and kind was going to get her nowhere.

She didn't speak much back in Ponyville, but here, right now, in front of him, they were going to talk.

Half her brain wracked that how she was speaking was not going to work out...but Twilight ignored it, trusting her other half that being serious and verbal would do good for the situation, considering this was Discord she was talking to.

She just hoped she wouldn't wind up using the royal Canterlot voice Princess Luna used to speak in...

"Well, that was surprising," Discord observed her.

"I asked you a question!" Twilight growled, her eyes blazing. "No more fooling around!" She dug her hooves into the ground. "How in Equestria did you get out of your stone prison?"

She didn't mean to sound angry, or hold an expression that was terrifying, but suddenly this new personalitu switch was taking over her, and all of what she wrote down in her journal a long time ago became distant to her now.

Discord simply looked at her, slightly confused and amused by her sudden change of attitude.

"Answer me!" Twilight shouted. For some reason, she nearly shed tears as she yelled at him.

Was she going to cry? What for? Oh, sweet Equestria, she hoped she wouldn't shed tears in front of Discord! That would be humiliating!

"Wow," Pinkie Pie observed, "I've seen Twilight angry before...but this is new!"

"You go, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash cheered, impressed that Twilight had gone from tender to tough in just a matter of seconds. The pegasus half-hoped Twilight would beat Discord to a pulp...

"Well, since you kindly asked me," Discord rolled his eyes. Then he smirked. "See, I hadn't been in stone this whole time."

The fire in Twilight's eyes suddenly extinguished as she gazed at him, her jaw dropping. "What?"

Discord grinned, trying to hold back his laughter at her distraught face. "See, being the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, I can do anything, Twilight." He snapped his fingers and something large fell into his hands.

Twilight gasped.

It was the statue of himself from the Canterlot gardens. The one she had been visiting for so many weeks, especially last night.

And it was a fake!

Her eyes turned from the statue to Discord himself holding it with no problems. "Wha...how..."

"After your princesses placed me back in the gardens," he continued, smiling at her face of horror, "I immediately used my chaotic magic and broke myself out without damaging this handsome piece of art." He chuckled as he admired the fake statue of himself. "Trust me, I was just as surprised. But when I still felt my powers while still imprisoned in stone, I took the chance and here I am!" He grinned from ear-to-ear.

Twilight stared at him in disbelief. "W-when?" She stammered. "When did you break free?" She was almost afraid to ask.

Discord gave an amused chuckle. "Why, a few days after your little celebration of defeating me."

Her heart felt like it just twisted as she continued staring at him, unable to believe what he just told her.

A few days after their celebration? Twilight and her friends had been staying in Canterlot for the week after that!

And it was during that week was it the first time she had visited Discord's statue...

Her words of sympathy to him...placing a supportive hoof on his frozen body...tears for his punishment...a rose to show she cared...

All for a dumb decoy!

Something burned within the unicorn's chest as she gazed at Discord, her mind telling her she had been playing herself a fool this whole time. To think she had been talking to a mere statue, sneaking off most nights just to see him...she really was crazy now that she thought about it.

"You..." Twilight breathed hard, not sure whether to be angry or simply upset. "You weren't gone this whole time..."

"No, actually," Discord caught on to her new kind of anger, so he soothed his voice a little. "I simply stayed around, watching you ponies carry on with your lives with no regards about me." He smiled at the ponies around him. "It took some thinking before I finally warmed up to the idea of actually coming out of my shell." He gazed at Twilight. "Do forgive me for that little accident with the explosive confetti rock as well as tripping you on your own hooves, Twilight Sparkle..." He gave a small chuckle. "I was simply preparing you for when I finally came out. Oh, the look on your face!" And he laughed.

"That was not funny, Discord!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"True, but I couldn't contain my laughter," the Draconequus smirked.

Twilight remained still, feeling her face heat up either from disbelief or embarrassment as she watched Discord. If he had gotten free...before everything that happened...had he even heard her during all those visits she made to his fake statue, especially last night?

"Where were you the whole time?" She asked, her voice high and demanding, the feelings of being foolish raising her temper. She seemed truly angry now.

"Oh, moi?" He asked innocently. "Why I was here and there. Some days I was in Cloudsdale, other days I was in Appaloosa-"

"My cousin's home?" Applejack cried.

"Amazing work they've done with their apple orchards," Discord complimented.

Twilight just stared at him. "Were you...were you ever in the gardens?" She asked quietly.

Discord raised an eyebrow at her. "Frankly, no, my dear," he stated. "I am too busy having fun to visit that dreadful place." Then he smirked down at her. "However, I had visited you last night."

Sweat suddenly poured down the side of her neck as Twilight bit her lip, remembering that basket. She wished it was really Pipsqueak who left it for her...

"Of course," he laughed, "I have been keeping my eyes on you ponies. Oh, how could I forget that one time with the doll?"

Twilight's eyes widened. Then they suddenly narrowed. "Don't you dare bring that up!" She suddenly shouted.

"Hey, relax," he tried to stifle his guffaws. "It's not like I was the one who created the problem in the first place."

Twilight glowered, she was about to say something but Discord held up his lion paw for her to remain silent.

"You know, when I first came here," he began in a soft yet serious tone, "I had hoped you, of all ponies, would be the least bit fine to see me. I mean, you're the one with the elusive element. Magic...and friendship."

Twilight raised an eyebrow. "And so?" She didn't mean to sound sarcastic, but still, he was confusing her.

Discord sighed and rolled his eyes. "I thought you'd be, well...friendly despite it's me."

Twilight felt her heart drop, and suddenly the guilt that she first had all those weeks ago came rushing back.

What was she doing? Why was she acting like this toward him? Maybe she was just upset because she felt like a fool for all this time she had visited Discord's statue to suddenly realize it wasn't even Discord at all? That he played everyone...even her?

She felt like her personality was just going at different directions: surprised, shy, sad, confused angry...and now a little guilty.

One part of her wanted to apologize for her somewhat rude behavior, yet the other part was telling her she was doing just fine and that Discord needed some tough love. Tougher perhaps.

Before she could say anything, Rainbow Dash flew in between them, baring her teeth at the Draconequus.

"Don't you dare try and trick our friend!" The pegasus shouted. "She's too smart to fall for whatever you got at her!"

Discord just sighed with annoyance. "Must you always barge in our conversations? I swear, you take your loyalty too seriously."

"Well, I am the Element of Loyalty!" She shouted. "And if I had it right now I'd use it one you in a hoofbeat!"

"Rainbow Dash..." Twilight wanted to speak out.

"Well, I guess I was wrong..." She turned and Discord's eyes were completely focused on hers.

When she stared into those colors of red and gold...she thought she saw pain.

"There really is no pony to re-consider me, is there?" Discord asked. If he was hiding his hurt, he was doing an excellent job at it. "You know, I can't exactly say I blame you. Though the accusations are getting really boring..." He gave a slightly amused smile.

"Discord..." Twilight's voice trailed.

"So I guess I'll just take my chaos with me and leave," Discord said as he floated into the air, all the ponies watching him leave. "But don't worry..." He gave a smirk. "I'll be sure to drop a cotton cloud on you every once and a while. Especially for you, my dear Twilight Sparkle."

The unicorn flinched as soon as he said her name. She just stood there as Discord suddenly vanished.

Gone. Again.

Spike emerged from his hiding spot as several of the Canterlot ponies slowly entered into the street where Discord had just left.

"That was scary..." The baby dragon muttered.

"Twilight, are you okay?" Rainbow Dash asked, gazing at the unicorn.

"Uh, yeah..." Twilight shuffled her hooves. "I'm fine."

Suddenly, Spike began to cough, and then a green flame seeped from his mouth, followed by a wrapped up scroll. Twilight came over and used her magic to unroll it. She gasped.

"It's a message from the princesses!" She exclaimed. "They need us at the castle right away!"

"About time they replied!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Maybe they can give us some pointers on how we can stop Discord! For good!"

Twilight raised her eyes over to the pegasus, unable to believe what Rainbow Dash was insisting upon. She had to say something, but her friends were either too busy to work on their plan or there was always a distraction-

Suddenly, something flashed right in front of them.

Like that.

As soon as the light ceased, a group of familiar faces stood before them. One of them had blonde hair and the other was hauling a pregnant belly. And Twilight immediately knew who had brought them here with magic as the unicorn spied a raspberry flan-head among them.

"I say," Professor Flan said as he gazed around at all the distraught ponies. He focused his eyes on Twilight before removing his hat and giving a polite bow. "My dear Twilight Sparkle, Mordecai and Mr. Baldwin told me about this Discord fellow and requested that I bring them here-"

"Twilight!" Mordecai cried before he rushed over to her, Mr. Baldwin behind him.

Before she knew it, she was wrapped in the arms of her dear bluejay friend. She could hardly breath as he suddenly held her close, tighter even.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" Mr. Baldwin asked her desperately. "As soon as you hung up, I raced out of the school and got unto land!"

"I, um..." Mordecai's hug was making it difficult for her to speak.

Finally, the bluejay released his hold, but his hands remained on her shoulders as he bent down and gazed into her eyes, his filled with so much worry.

"Did Discord hurt you?" He asked her.

"N-no..." Twilight slowly shook her head. She looked over his shoulder to see that their friends from the park had arrived as well.

"Seriously," Margaret began, placing her hands on her hips nervously. "What's the beef on this guy, anyway?"

Mordecai wheeled toward her. "Did you not see what he did earlier at the park?" He demanded, his voice almost rising as it startled her. "Sure, all that kiddy stuff seemed fine! But if this guy keeps going around, someone might end up hurt!"

He turned to Twilight, his hold on her tightening as his eyes softened. Margaret watched with a raised eyebrow as he gazed into the unicorn's eyes.

"And I'm not going to let him hurt Twilight," he declared.

Twilight was rather stunned be his statement. "Mordecai, you don't have to-"

"Twilight, you're our friend!" Mordecai pushed. "You're the most powerful, magical pony I know! And to think Discord might use it against you..." His voice trailed off.

"Oh, boy," Margaret turned to see Rigby stand beside her. "Here comes the water works..."

"Look, partner," Applejack intervened. "We're going to the castle right now. We'll settle this and make sure Discord ain't bothering no pony no more."

"Oh, I'm glad!" Mordecai turned to her, his hands never leaving Twilight's shoulders. "Because if turning him back into stone won't be enough..."

"Uh, I'd rather not to think about another option," Twilight interrupted before gently removing his hands off her. "Mordecai, please don't worry..."

Mordecai gazed into her purple eyes. "I can't help it. You're too important to m-to us." He added quickly, averting his eyes while trying hide his blush.

Margaret simply watched, not sure how to feel at the moment as Mordecai placed an arm around Twilight and held her close to him, doing his best not to shed any tears as his blonde hair fell over his eyes.

Since when did he cry?
Well, chapter 4 was so long, I needed to cut it into two parts just so the submission wouldn't have any complications. But don't worry, I'll post part 2 soon! ;)

The following cartoon characters from various shows featured here are: Fanboy and Chum Chum and Professor Flan from FBCC, Ronaldo, Kick, Gunther, and Kendall from Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, Django, Frida, and Manny from El Tigre, my ML OC Abjay, my KND OC Rocky, Ogie, and Numbuh 4 from Codename: Kids Next Door, Shelsea, Oscar, Milo, Bea, and Mr. Baldwin from Fish Hooks, Spike, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Photo Finish, and Discord from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and Mordecai, Rigby, and Margaret from Regular Show.

:bulletblack: Forgive Twilight for her personality change...going from shy and sympathetic to strong and furious is something she was surprised with herself. And the fact that she felt she had been a fool all this time makes her even more pissed off. :XD:

:bulletblack: Yeah, it would be pretty obvious that someone like Kendall wouldn't be a 'true believer' in the magic of friendship; she doesn't even have many friends. :XD: but you got to admit, it was pretty funny when she started losing it when came the cotton candy clouds and chocolate rain. :lmao:

:bulletblack: Looks like Mordecai had become even more protective of his friends...especially Twilight, and this surely surprises Margaret. ^^;

Stay tuned for part 2! ;)

Good Chapter.

I like how it's hinted that discord is looking for some friendship. Well that's how i see it. Unfortunately Twilight's friends are perceiving him as a great threat and are acting, quite aggressive... But they do mean well, willing to protect Twilight from danger, granted they could be better if they would stop and listen to her.

I have no sympathy for Kendall's breakdown from the sudden surprise gifts of Discord. I actually found it rather amusing! I do feel bad for rocky having to face her great fear. I keep forgetting shes only 10, considering how mature she is!

Twilight's "Mood Swing" and random personality change was very intriguing. I like how you set it up to have me think about it deeply! In fact this whole chapter was well thought out and, unlike many fanfictions, it makes me THINK!!
